Thinking of you, your monumental journey, and the sweltering heat. Things are getting a little chilly round here and I've started wearing gloves now. No more news!!
lots of love

Johnny
Brilliant job on the road in Aus - making it sound easy and even pleasurable, but then I see the teens hours in the saddle bit and it brings water to my eyes!
Just wanted to tell you that Tilly played like a God on Sunday beating Letchworth 58 - 25 and scoring most of the points (tries and kicks) and tackling like a demon. I suspect she would have been a bit tired afterwards, so you were not the only V-F earning a good nights sleep!
Not long til your girls are with you and offering even more support than the shopaholic Ed!!
best from Jonny, S, S and A
Its a while since I sent you a joke this one priceless
A blonde gets a job as a teacher
She notices a boy in the field standing alone, while all the other kids are running around having fun. She takes pity on him and decides to speak to him.
'You ok?' she says.
'Yes.' he says.
'You can go and play with the other kids you know' she says.
'It's best I stay here.' he says.
'Why?' says the blonde.
The boy says: "Because I'm the bl**dy goal keeper"
Hey Johnny, that's 2.14850734 × 10-10 light years. You're really cookin now pom.
First frosty morning scraping off the ice before the bus run in the dark!! Thought of you and decided what I was doing was preferable!!! West End Farm all good. Thinking about the Christmas lights - remember last couple of years with the V-F family switching them on !! Merton Croft could be in darkness this year!! Lots of love from us all here.
Best of luck with what must truly be a remarkable journey. We salute you all the way.
Wishing you all the best John for the mighty challenge. Give it everything and enjoy every second of the journey.
just been to Mansfield and back 135miles each way took me most of the day ...........in the Audi couldnt even contemplate doing on two wheels !
keep it up !!! (scope for actress/ bishop jokes ad infintum here)
I thought is was the same Person.
My daughter went to St Josephs with your daughter Tilly..
We live in Sydney now.
I heard about your journey whilst listening online being interviews by Radio Oxford late one day (Oz time) breakfast show with Malcolm Boyden.
Hope all is well with you John.
Best wishes and hope you are well and enjoying the adventure across this amazing country.
Slow down Johnny - the beer won't be ready at this rate. It's only just gone into bottles.
170 miles in a day. I had a car once that would struggle to do that in a month. Come to think of it, pretty sure it never got close. We called it the Dim Sim, it was off white, sort of crinkly and was usually surrounded in steam.
Pretty impressive riding mate - keep it up.
170 miles! Please tell me it was down hill! Keep on peddling and I'll keep pestering people to sponsor you.
Kate is so proud - received a text telling of your mammoth 170 miles. Can't wait to read the next entry on the blog.
You are amazing!! What a fantastic achievement so far. Am addicted to the website though so it may be a problem when you finish ;-). The girls are all really excited about meeting up with you - not long now - and judging by how you are doing at the moment, you might
be waiting for them!

You're doing so well in such challenging conditions. We're enjoying following your progress. Keep up the good work and stay safe. x
Just about to leave Northern Territory - glad to see the back of it? At this rate you'll beat Kate and the girls to Adelaide! You're doing a grand job. Oh, and by the way, .... a pinch and a punch! xxxx
Hi Johnnie and Ed,
How are things going?!
Amazing progress Johnnie, good on you!
Let us know how you're going and if there's anything we can do to help from our end.
Thinking of you both lots.
Love from the whole gang. OX :)
Looks like you did about 160 miles in the past 24 hours. Extraordinary!
Trust me - you HAVE to try a golden gaytime!!!
Still can't believe what you are doing. I did a 50 mile ride the other day and was not enjoying the heat. It was only in the mid 20s! I take my helmet off to you!
Keep digging deep.
Natasha and Gareth
Hi Nonnie!
Adam and I have finally been able to catch up with your blog now that we are in a country with decent internet connection! We even have our housemate following! It's incredible. I'm so proud of you, it really is a great thing that you are doing. We often think about where you might be and how you are getting on. Keep it up, you're getting closer to the finish line and seeing the girls!!

Johnnie.... you are simply amazing, we follow your progress everyday; first thing in the morning and as soon as we are all in from school and work.
Hope you manage to get a rest before the next stage. Stay strong, pedal hard, and most of all keep safe.

Hi Johnny. Another scalp in your bag - Alice Spings in 11 days is an amazing achievement. I am sure that all your fans are doffing their hats to Carlos for his adopted role as Top2Bottom's guardian angel.
Enjoy the time off in Alice and just think of the next 1000+ miles of wit and banter as you ride with Edward on the downhill leg.
Ride strong young man - you're not 50 yet.
J, C, G & G
